Former architectural technician Andrew Shaw has been in the roofline and roofing industry for more than 20 years.
Moving from architecture in the 1990s, Andrew worked in the technical department of a large roofing products company before progressing into sales.
He explained that the quality and reliability of Kestrel’s roofline products had attracted him to the role.
“I was lucky enough to have three potential job offers,” he said. “I chose Kestrel because of its emphasis on quality products.
“There’s been a significant investment in the company and the leadership have a very clear vision for its future.
“I was also very impressed with the procedures in place to ensure Kestrel’s building products are consistently great quality.”
The Manchester-based father-of-two has wasted no time in meeting some of the brand’s customers in the region and believes in a competitive market, Kestrel’s quality is a key attribute.
“I’ve never seen myself as a sales person, I just provide good quality building products at a fair price and Kestrel is exactly that,” he added.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys rock climbing across North Wales and the North West.
Sales and marketing director for Kestrel Owen Thorogood said: “Andrew has a wealth of industry experience and technical knowledge, giving him a sound understanding of the industry both from a technical and sales perspective.
“With this background, I’m sure that Andrew will be an excellent addition to the Kestrel team.”
Kestrel’s range includes more than 800 UPVC building products with guarantees from 10 years on grain products through to an extended 35-year non-diminishing guarantee on white profiles when fitted by a registered installer.
