The Anthracite Grey plastic cladding was first developed in response to a request from Plastic Building Supplies of Norwich, and was quickly added to the Kestrel product list.
It’s now being used on a new affordable housing project in the North West by MCI Developments in partnership with Great Places Housing Group.
Tony Renshaw of MCI Developments said: “This is a development of 67 homes in Weale, Salford, and together with project partner Great Places Housing Group we were clear that the development needed a modern look.
“While we chose the Anthracite Grey UPVC cladding for aesthetic reasons, we have used Kestrel products before and have been pleased with them.”
Foundations were laid at the development in March this year and MCI Developments expects to complete the project in the summer 2016.
The development will comprise a mix of rental, shared ownership and homes for sale.
Stephen Malkin, business development manager for Kestrel, said: “MCI Developments had a very clear brief that this was an urban housing scheme that should have a contemporary look and the RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey colour was a good fit.
“Like all of our UPVC cladding products, it has the advantage of being low maintenance and long-lasting which is a key consideration for new build projects such as this one.”
The Anthracite Grey colour now sits alongside Rosewood, Black Grain, Wood Grain, Irish Oak, Sherwood Grain and Mahogany, to form part of the main Kestrel UPVC cladding range.
The plastic roofline and cladding company prides itself on responding to customer needs and developing new products to meet the demand of the market. Its range now extends to more than 800 products.
