Kestrel Protects Product Quality

Kestrel, the leading manufacturer of 100% calcium organic UPVC building products, applies a protective film to its hollow soffit and PVC cladding products to ensure they are protected until they arrive on site to be installed.

“With our new government looking to cut public sector spending, UPVC cladding will become even more popular with specifiers as a cost-effective way to apply a consistent, clean look to a property or stock of properties. It’s easy to install and easy to maintain thereafter. If the product is scratched when it arrives on site or during installation, it can cause delays or alternatively leave a less than perfect finish. Of course, as soon as our product has been delivered there’s little we can do to make sure it is handled in the correct way, but we’re doing everything we can to retain the high quality of our products, by applying a protective film to the cladding before it leaves our factory. The protective film can then be removed once is has been delivered, moved around and installed. It’s a simple idea but one that can save housing associations and local authorities a huge amount of time and money during an installation.

“Kestrel manufactures the majority of its vast UPVC building product range in-house at its dedicated manufacturing facility to ensure all products consistently meet its high standards. Although we have one of the widest product ranges in the industry we are constantly listening to customers and coming up with new product innovations and developments, like applying protective film, to ensure we stay ahead of market demands and legislation.”
