New product innovation at UPVC roofline manufacturer Kestrel has resulted in the launch of a dramatically-improved range of wood-effect foiled corners, joints and end-caps. The new products achieve the best-ever colour match with their corresponding UPVC roofline and PVC window boards.
A closely-guarded, unique manufacturing process is behind the consistent and authentic appearance of the new products, promising installers seamless finishing with Kestrel’s Wood Grain, Sherwood Grain, Black Grain and Rosewood UPVC foiled boards.
Kestrel was the first company in the industry to laminate corners and joints with the same foil as used on its boards and trims, using a patented process. Now Kestrel is leading the way again with a pioneering new manufacturing technique for its UPVC building products. The result is improved colour consistency and matching across the range with the same price, part number and 10-year durability guarantee.
All Kestrel foiled corners, joints and end-caps will now be based on an injection moulded component in a range of matching solid colours, so that there is no unsightly show-through once the UPVC roofline product is cut and installed.
As part of the innovations, plastic building products manufacturer Kestrel is relaunching its brilliant white and foiled 135° internal and external UPVC corner joints. Both UPVC wood-grain and white joints are now injection moulded rather than vacuum-formed. The foil is then applied with a unique new laminating process to achieve a consistently-improved colour match with the corresponding boards.
Kestrel is a privately-owned company with 140,000 sq ft state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Scunthorpe, Lincs. By keeping 100% control of production, raw material sourcing and blending of its UPVC roofline profiles, Kestrel strives for consistent high quality and value through lean manufacturing to ISO9000 quality management standards.
The company’s purpose-designed warehouse facilities, located near Stoke-on-Trent, provide a central hub for efficient UK distribution of its UPVC roofline products, guaranteeing ready availability to Kestrel stockists nationwide.
Paul Neilson, Managing Director of Kestrel commented: ‘As a stable, privately-owned company, Kestrel invests in product innovation to achieve consistently high standards for our customers.
