Fast-growing Lancashire-based Boss Building Plastics is set to open its second branch in Leigh, near Manchester. This expansion marks a significant milestone for the Kestrel customer, which already operates a successful branch in Ormskirk, stocking a wide range of products including fascia, cladding, guttering, EDPM/GRP, roof windows, composite materials,
and drainage.
The new Leigh branch represents a strategic move for Boss Building Plastics. While the Ormskirk branch, situated in a rural area, offering deliveries across a wide area, the Leigh branch is strategically positioned on an industrial park near builders’ merchants, plumbing supplies, and DIY stores.
Zara Jones, who co-owns Boss Building Plastics with Rob Cooke, explained their strategic move into Leigh. “We expected to attract and open up new opportunities for the business with this location, but it’s surpassed expectations. “Our core trade has been with installers, and potential customers had asked us to move into Leigh, but the new site also expansion allows us greater opportunities to diversify.” “We are adding new lines such as decking and bathroom panels and plan to create new displays to attract new customers.”
The new branch, located at Acorn Court in Leigh, aims to meet the diverse needs of installers, local builders and DIY enthusiasts.
Zara and Rob, who are also planning to get married in August, have big plans for the future. They hope to open their third branch next year, further cementing their presence in the region.
Reflecting on their partnership with Kestrel, Zara said, “Kestrel products have a great reputation for quality and reliability, but we’ve also found their customer service to be excellent. Deliveries are prompt and there’s always someone on hand to help when we need it. The wide range of products on offer also helps us as we diversify and build our business.”
Kestrel sales director Jonathan Boland said: “With the drive and determination of Rob and Zara, Boss Building Plastics is destined for continued growth and success. The new branch in Leigh marks an exciting new chapter for the company, and we are delighted to be able to support them with their ambitious plans.”
