With a working partnership that spans more than two decades, it’s safe to say that East Anglia building materials supplier Plastic Building Supplies can rely on UPVC building products manufacturer Kestrel.
Based in East Anglia, PBS serves customers across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, and Northamptonshire from its four branches in Norwich, Kings Lynn, Thetford, and Gorleston.
Today its stock includes fascias, soffits, cladding, wall panels, trims and sills, drainage, roofing, windows and doors, but set up in 1988, PBS built its core business around the Kestrel product range.
With a comprehensive stock of Kestrel products, including various colours and finishes, PBS ensures that its customers have access to the materials they need when they need them.
Dan Gibling from PBS explained: “With Kestrel, our customers know what they are getting. Over the years, we have built a strong relationship with the Kestrel team, and we work to ensure we have a wide range of products in stock at any one time.”
The expert team at PBS is also a key asset, with many staff members having been with the company for several years. Staff keep their skills up to date with regular product training and refreshers, ensuring they can offer the best advice and support to customers.
Joe Pitchford from PBS explained: “Holding a good range of stock is key, but our customers know they can also rely on regular deliveries and our in-house expertise. Whether that’s the counter staff or our in-house site surveyor, who can visit sites to help with estimates, our team are here to support them.”
Looking to the future, PBS is continuing to expand its range and sources training to help installers diversify their offering to customers. “We support the customers to identify training for other products, helping them build their business,” Dan added. “A number of customers have now diversified into drainage, for example, using Kayflow products, and we are keen to help them gain that competitive edge.”
However, as PBS continues to grow and diversify, its collaboration with Kestrel remains a cornerstone of its success.
Reflecting on the 20-year partnership, Kestrel marketing manager Alison Ratcliffe said she was proud of the enduring working relationship with PBS. “The team at PBS have a commitment to stocking a wide range of our products, which together with their dedication to customer service has helped them build a strong business. We look forward to working with PBS for the next two decades and beyond!” Alison added.
