Ark Decking and Timber Supplies, which opened its doors in October 2015, began stocking Kestrel’s uPVC roofline and uPVC cladding products this after customers recommended the products.
Michael Stewart, owner of Ark Decking and Timber Supplies in Alexandria, explained that he asked around to find out the right roofline products for his new venture.
“I knew that uPVC building products would be important to the business, so asked builders and installers which brand they would choose,” he explained.
“Kestrel was recommended time and again, and when I investigated the range I was impressed with the breadth of products and colours available.”
Michael, who has worked in the building products industry for 11 years, said that he was equally impressed with the support he received from Kestrel and business development manager for Scotland John Gunn.
“John has been fantastic,” he said. “He actually helped me fill the shelving when the first delivery of Kestrel products arrived. Any questions I’ve had about the products have been answered and they’ve been great about sending samples out.”
Ark Decking and Timber Supplies also had positive feedback about the brand’s estimating department.
“I work with a lot of builders who are pricing up projects. The Kestrel estimating service means they can price up jobs far more accurately,” Michael said. “It’s already proving to be a real selling point.”
With orders already delivered and installed, Michael is confident that the roofline and uPVC fascia part of his new business will grow.
Business development manager for Kestrel John Gunn said that he expected Ark Decking and Timber Supplies to go from strength to strength.
“While this is a new company it’s built on Michael’s years of experience in the industry,” John said. “He has started by doing the right thing and listening to his customers to find out what they want, which gives me every confidence that this is a business that will do very well.”
Kestrel’s range includes more than 800 uPVC building products with guarantees from 10 years on grain products through to an extended 35-year non-diminishing guarantee on white profiles when fitted by a registered installer.
Kestrel holds certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BES 6001.
